We’ve been doing lots of updates to the house since day 1, and we would have loved to have had to ability to do a full gut of our tiny full bath, but that wasn’t an option. Over the past two years, we painted the walls, added a new light, door, hardware, mirror and medicine cabinet. We have wanted to replace the sink, but instead opted to paint it white and add nice hardware to bring it out of the early 90’s.
Our contractor mentioned that instead of replacing the entire vanity/sink that we could instead just replace the top, and so began the hunt. Turns out getting the exact size of our single sink was much more difficult than expected. I thought I found the perfect one and ordered it from Wayfair only to have him rip off the old vanity top, open the new one, and find it to be 2″ too shallow. Ugh!
So, we are going a different route, away from marble or ceramic and making a custom white concrete top with a white under mount sink. We’ll use the faucet I already ordered from wayfair which matches all of the other new additions in this room. Here is some of the inspiration for our new sink, can’t wait to see it done.
This was before we added the new mirror, medicine cabinet and painted the base.
